OBJECTIVE: To provide engagement activities to improve community aesthetics and standing. and organizational processes that aim to do as least harm as possible to the community in which we serve.
I. FOOD WASTE REDUCTION
HEALTHY EATING INITIATIVE
Bringing access to fresh produce and plant-based foods to all households.
- Redirect surplus retail food from landfills to people in need.
- Inclusion of fresh fruits and vegetables in every day meals.
- Inclusions for dietary restrictions; including food allergies/intolerances.
- Inclusions for health related diets; including diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.
- Inclusion of vegan, plant-based foods.
- Provide easy, low ingredient recipes.
COMMUNITY GARDEN
Come plant and harvest with us in the community garden this summer.
Will be accessible 24-7 outside of our location.

ADOPT-A-ROAD
Provide opportunities for residents to clean, improve, and sustain their local communities.

Provide opportunities for residents to clean, improve, and sustain their local communities.
- Ensure communities are safe and clean through neighborhood clean ups.
- Provide plants and flowers to replant in home gardens or on porches.
III. ECO-CONCIOUS INITIATIVES
WASTE REDUCTION
Implement measures to reduce environmental impact and ensure environmental sustainability.
- Reduce use of single use plastics.
- Redirect food waste to farmers.
- Choose, request, or switch to recyclable products, when available.
REUSE & REPURPOSE
Turn items from single use to multi-use.
- Reuse bags, boxes, and containers.
- Repurpose crates and pallets into functional use items (benches, planters, etc).
RECYCLE
Cardboard recycling.
- Break down boxes and cardboard for weekly recycling.
